Digital anesthesia is a less painful anesthesia method where the anesthetic solution is adjusted according to the person’s tissue pressure. Since it does not require the use of an injector, it can be used easily especially in pediatric patients and adult patients with needle phobia. The relevant area of the gum is first anesthetized with anesthesia gels to provide numbness. Then, the pressure sensation in the tissue and the pain sensation are reduced with the digital anesthesia device to provide anesthesia.
The solution used in digital anesthesia is exactly the same as the anesthetic used in traditional methods. The duration of digital anesthesia may take a little longer than the traditional method, but the solution used, the amount of solution and the duration of numbness depending on these are no different.
